Obituary's Biography:

Clifford J. Walzel, 80, died peacefully on January 17, 2022 with his devoted niece Karen at his side. Cliff was a longtime resident of Lincoln Park and Grayslake, as well as a 65 year summer resident of Turtle Lake, Wisconsin where he diligently practiced, but never mastered the art of fishing.  Cliff was a 36 year career-long employee of Continental Illinois National Bank and a lifelong suffering fan of the Chicago Bears.  Cliff was preceded in death by his beloved life partner, Ardeth A. Crowell, his parents Louis and Eleanor, his brothers Ted (Connie), Richard, and Alfred and his niece Janet.  Cliff was the cherished uncle of Karen, Christopher, Lisa, Rick, Mark, and Greg; a proud great uncle of 6 and a fond friend to many.  Survivors also include his sisters-in-law Pat and Patricia.  Private services will be held in the spring in Turtle Lake, Wisconsin.  As Cliff was an avid classical music and opera fan, memorial contributions may be made in Cliff’s name to WFMT-FM radio www.wfmt.com.  All funeral arrangments were entrusted to Strang Funeral Chapel & Crematorium.  For more information log onto www.strangfuneral.org or call (847)223-8122.
