Obituary's Biography:

Jerry P. DeRose Jr., 89, a resident of Monroe, WI and formerly of Libertyville, passed away Monday, January 24, 2022 at his home.  He was born January 16, 1933 in Chicago, IL to Jerry P. Sr. and Carmella DeRose.  Jerry was a veteran of the US Army, a member of the Knights of Columbus, and a member of St. Raphael the Archangel.  He enjoyed working on his old cars and going to the car shows to show them.  Jerry is survived by his children Debbie(Larry) Brandimore, Sandy (Paul) Quinn, Jerry (Tina) DeRose III, Terry DeRose, Larry (Bonnie) DeRose, Dena DeRose, Carmella (Warren) Sundt, Michael (Julie Layton) DeRose, Donna (Steve) Klein, and Michelle DeRose, his 18 grandchildren, his 22 great-grandchildren, and his 6 great-great-grandchildren, and many cousins, nieces, and nephews.  He was preceded in death by his parents, his first wife Doris, his second wife Jeannine, and his brothers Frank and Louis DeRose.  A visitation and funeral mass is scheduled for Friday, January 28, 2022 from 10:00am until 12:00pm with the funeral mass commencing at 12:00pm at St. Raphael the Archangel Catholic Church 40000 N. Route 45 Old Mill Creek, IL 60046.  Interment will follow at Ascension Cemetery in Libertyville, IL.  In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the church.  All funeral arrangements were entrusted to Strang Funeral Chapel & Crematorium, 410 E.   1. Jerry will be so missed. He was always a great family member. He was always happy to see me. I’m his Grand Son. Love too the whole family. Sorry I couldn’t make it today.
