Obituary's Biography:
Wilbur C. Metz, age 91, a resident of Grayslake, passed away on November 4, 2023. He was born on May 29, 1932 in Chicago to William and Willemina Metz.
Wilbur and family are all a long time St. Gilbert Parishioners. All His four children and 1 grandson are all St. Gilbert School Alumni and one grandson currently attends St. Gilbert School.
Wilbur is survived by his children, Laurie (Ken) Aemisegger, Mary Metz, Bill (Trish) Metz, and Michael (Heidi) Metz; and his grandchildren, Hannah, Kimberly, Timothy, and Vincent. He was preceded in death by his wife, Shirley Metz; his brother, Clarence Metz; and his parents.
A Funeral Mass will be held at St. Gilbert Catholic Church, 301 E. Belvidere Road, Grayslake, IL 60030 on Saturday, November 11, 2023 at 10:30am. A visitation will be held at church on Saturday from 9:30am until the start of Mass. Interment will be held privately. All funeral arrangements were entrusted to Strang Funeral Chapel, Grayslake, IL.
