Obituary's Biography:

Michael Fred Carlson of Saddlebrook Farms, Grayslake IL, left his earthly home to meet his Heavenly Father on May 9, 2022.  He was born in Chicago, IL to Eugene and Edith Carlson.  Michael was a US Army veteran having served during the Vietnam War.  He enjoyed fishing, gardening, and watching Chicago sports. He was a lung cancer survivor.  Michael is survived by his wife of 29 years, Janet Carlson, his step-daughter Cheri (Christian) Behles, his step-grandchildren Jake and Alexander Behles, his siblings Richard Carlson and Cathy (Ron) Oakes, his nieces and nephews Cherie Carlson, Steve Carlson, Brent Halvorsen, and Cori Moschberger.  He was preceded in death by his parents and his nephew Kurt Halvorsen.  A memorial visitation and service are scheduled for Saturday, May 21, 2022 from 9am until 11am with the service commencing at 11am at Strang Funeral Chapel & Crematorium, 410 E. Belvidere Road, Grayslake, IL 60030.     You were not just my previous co-worker of 11 years, but also a great friend who always smiled whenever we sat to chat and catch up about our lives. Those days I will miss but know that the Lord is guiding you in eternal life of everlasting love. Every person heart you touched, the laughter and conversation you shared with your amazing personality throughout the years will never be forgotten. Your memory will live throughout all who have known you. May you rest in peace my dear friend, God Bless you on your new journey to eternal life.
