Obituary's Biography:
Lorraine A. Matelski, 101, a resident of Grayslake, IL, passed away December 12, 2022. She was born December 25,1920 in Chicago, IL to Bruno and Agnes Polak.
Lorraine is survived by her sons Michael (Gisela) Matelski and Thomas (Kathleen) Matelski, her grandchildren Derek (Sydney) Matelski, Ashley Matelski, Samantha Matelski, Zachary Matelski, Jesse Matelski, Alexander (Sally) Matelski, Grant Matelski, and Gabriel Matelski, and her great-grandchildren Jackson, Charlotte, and Lincoln Matelski.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Victor Matelski, her daughter Maribeth Zeller and son-in-law Mark Zeller, and her brothers Chester Polak, Gustav Polak, and Leonard Polak.
A visitation and funeral mass are scheduled for Monday, December 19, 2022 all at St. Gilbert Catholic Church 301 E. Belvidere Rd. Grayslake, IL 60030 from 10:00am until 11:00am with mass commencing at 11:00am. Interment will follow at Ascension Cemetery in Libertyville, IL. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to St. Gilbert Catholic Church in memory of Lorraine and Victor Matelski.

Sending love to all of the Matelski family during this difficult loss at Christmas. Your Mom and Dad were so good to me and Joe as we moved to Grayslake and began our family. I found so much love and acceptance. I will never forget the years spent next door to your Mom and Dad in the beautiful cottage by the lake. I really miss those days. I love each of you and my prayers are lifted for strength and peace as you lay the Matelski Matriarch to rest. The Lord be with you. Ricci and family.
