Brian Thomas Shields, 63, a resident of Grayslake, IL, passed away April 21, 2022. He was born in Evanston, IL to Roy and Lorraine Shields. Brian was passionate about history and space and was always happy to share his opinions on current events. He was big in size and in heart. Brian is survived by his wife of 27 years, Nancy Shields, whom he wed on June 18, 1994 in Glenview, IL, his children Bradley Shields of St. Amant, LA, Cassandra (Jorge) Cantu of Mundelein, IL, Kristen (Jamey) Gavel of Volo, IL, Joshua Shields of St. Amant, LA, and Kady Shaw of Grayslake, IL, his grandchildren, Ben, Mia, Luke, Ethan, Shawn,Rosie, Edward, Enrique, Riley, Ava, and Elodie, his siblings Laura Shields of Chicago, IL, Barbara Shields of Chicago, IL, Patrick (Vivian) Shields of Mundelein, IL, Christie (Phil) Brooks of Wauconda, IL, Scott Shields of California, his sister-in-law, Marsha Shields of Wauconda, IL, Gail Kading of Glen Elyn, IL, John W. (Lisa) Field II of Scottsdale, AZ, Joan (Bruce) Voss of Palatine, IL, Janice (Larry) of Wheeling, IL, Colleen (Matt) Petrando of Island Lake, IL, Patricia Kastanes of Pinehurst, NC, and all his nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, his brother Michael Shields, and his in-laws, John “Jack” and Laverne Field. A celebration of his life is scheduled for Tuesday, April 26, 2022 from 4:00pm until 7:00pm at Strang Funeral Chapel & Crematorium 410 E. Belvidere Rd. Grayslake, IL 60030.   2. I feel so much for the lost he was a big man he was my manager of garden fresh market he was always a humbled person and a caring person people like him are a few of them I’m so sorry for his kids and wife RIP Brian
