Obituary's Biography:
Adelia Ann Drake, 85, a resident of Gurnee, passed away on Friday, April 9, 2021 in Libertyville. She was born in Chicago on October 16, 1935 to James and Cecelia Marcangelo. Adelia was the loving mother of Mark (Leslie) Drake of St. Louis, MO and Joel (Julie Kalnitz) Drake of Wheeling; the cherished grandmother of Dana (Ben) Rhodes, Thomas J. Drake, Mackenzie (John) Retzlaff, Kelly Drake, Lauren (Chad) Bledsoe, Spencer Hawk, Mark Austin Drake, and Alexis Hawk; the great grandmother of Alexander and Franklin Rhodes; and the sister of Geraldine (Ernie) Van Stockum of Florida. She is preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Thomas Drake.
Friends of the family may visit at STRANG FUNERAL CHAPEL & CREMATORIUM, 410 E. BELVIDERE ROAD, GRAYSLAKE, IL 60030 from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. on Sunday, April 11, 2021. The funeral service will commence at 10 a.m. on Monday, April 12, 2021, also at the funeral chapel. Interment will follow at Memory Gardens Cemetery in Arlington Heights.
