Obituary's Biography:

John Edward Barry, 64, of Round Lake Park, IL, passed away on June 2, 2025 at Advocate Condell Medical Center in Libertyville, IL. He was born on December 3, 1960 in Chicago, IL to Leonard and Doris Barry.

John loved his grandchildren more than anything in the world. His greatest accomplishment in life was the strong and loving family he built. He was the kind of guy that would give you the shirt off his back, leaving a mark on everyone lucky enough to know him. Some of his most cherished memories are fishing with his friends/family and weekends spent at his camper. He loved hard and made sure to let everyone know how much he loved them. 

 John is survived by his wife of 38 years, Carrie Shaw; his children, Rebecca (Jessie) Pastrana of Franklin Park, IL, John (Katherine) Barry, Jr. of Antioch, IL, Joshua Barry of Round Lake, IL, and Lukus Barry of Round Lake, IL; his grandchildren, Alex Figueroa of Franklin Park, IL, Audrey Pastrana of Franklin Park, IL, Annabella Barry of Round Lake, IL, John Barry III of Antioch, IL, Eden Barry of Round Lake, IL, Everleigh Barry of Antioch, IL, and Lilith Barry of Round Lake, IL; and his siblings, Tim Barry of Beloit, WI and Lora Barry of Round Lake, IL. He was preceded in death by his parents; his brother, Leonard Barry, Jr.; and his sister, Alice Barry.

A visitation and funeral service will be held at Strang Funeral Chapel, 410 E Belvidere Road, Grayslake, IL 60030 on Monday, June 9, 2025 from 4pm until 8pm, with a funeral service beginning at 8pm.
