Obituary's Biography:

William P. Dennis, 80, a resident of Grayslake, IL, passed away Friday, May 4, 2018 at Brentwood Nursing Home in Riverwoods, IL.  He was born December 1, 1937 in Oak Park, IL to Nathaniel and Mary Dennis.  Bill was a Marine Corps veteran having served during the Korean War.  He worked as a Lake County Deputy and a bus driver for Durham Bus Company for many years.  Bill enjoyed swimming, spending time with his grandchildren, and visiting his vacation home in Texas.  Bill is survived by his wife of 58 years, Judi, his children Christine (John) Groth, Richard (Caroline) Dennis, William Dennis, and Steve (Jennifer) Dennis, his six grandchildren, and his six great-grandchildren.  He was preceded in death by his parents and his two brothers.  A visitation is scheduled for Thursday, May 10, 2018 from 4:00pm until 8:00pm at Strang Funeral Chapel & Crematorium 410 E. Belvidere Rd. Grayslake, IL 60030.  The funeral service will be held on Friday, May 11, 2018 at `10:00am at the funeral chapel.  Interment will follow at Avon Centre Cemetery in Grayslake, IL.  Memorial donations may be made to the Captain Lovell VA Medical Center in North Chicago.  For more information on services, call (847) 223-8122 or log onto www.strangfuneral.org.
