Robert (Pookey) Kutzler, 78, of Gages Lake, IL., passed away on March 13, 2015, at Advocate Condell in Libertyville. He was born on March 21, 1936, in Waukegan, IL. He was the owner and operator of Kutzler Express, Inc. and a U.S. Army veteran. He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Louise; two daughters, Cindy (Dan) Sawusch and Julie Kutzler; three grandchildren, Steven, Andrew and Pamela; great grandchild, Benjamin; his brothers, Jimmy (Virginia) and Dick (Helen); his brother-in-law and sister-in-law LeRoy “Pete” and Judy Gwaltney; and numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Florence and Frank Kutzler Jr. Friends of the family may visit on Tuesday, March 17, from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Strang Funeral Chapel, 410 E. Belvidere Rd., Grayslake, IL. Funeral Service commencing at 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday, March 18, at the Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Warren Cemetery in Gurnee. So sorry for your loss my cousins. Lot’s of fond memories of a very nice down to earth, man. He made me chuckle many times over the years, with his frank comments,and easy going way of getting his point across.
