Obituary's Biography:

Robert H. Ziemann, 94, of Grayslake, passed away on June 26, 2015 in Libertyville at the Manor Care Rehab Facility. Bob was born on July 23, 1920 in Chicago,  to John and Lucille Ziemann (nee: Dominick). Bob was an avid Cubs fan, golfer, fisherman, member of Knights of Columbus and World War II verteran.  He was a snow bird, and no matter where he lived, he helped his community build, and uplift their churches. Most important to Bob was the love of his family and respect to his friends. Survivors include his children Judi Troemel of Grayslake, IL, Kathy Schrank of Beach Park, IL, Chris(Kathy) Ziemann of New Jersey, Bob(Pat) Ziemann of South Carolina, his 11 grandchildren, and 17 great grandchildren.  Bob was preceded in death by the two loves of his life Loretta, and Merldeanne, and by his sisters, Dorothy and Alice. There will be a memorial visitation on Monday July 6, 2015 at 8:30am until 9:30am with a memorial mass commencing at 9:30am at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church in 15000 W. Wadsworth Rd. Wadsworth, IL.  In lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be made to The Alzheimers Foundation Of America, 322 Eighth Ave, 7th Fl, New York, NY, 10001.   2. The Lord blessed my wife and I when we were Bob’s neighbor in Fairfield Bay, Arkansas. He would have us over for his fabulous spaghetti. He taught us to play gin. He would call me and say”Bobby come over the Cubs are on tv. He was like my Father a great man. I am glad he gave my wife and I many memories and laughs! God bless to a Great man of the Greatest Generation!
