Obituary's Biography:

Richard T. Grenell, age 83, a resident of Grayslake, passed away May 3, 2023 at Presence Holy Family Hospital in Des Plaines. He was born on September 27, 1939 in Chicago to Ruth and Howard Grenell.

Richard is survived by his wife, Joanne Grenell of 63 years whom he married on January 16, 1960 at St. Bede Catholic Church; his children, Teresa (John Quinlan) Dusek of Gurnee, Pamela Swanson of Ingleside, and David Grenell of Fox Lake; his grandchildren, Anthony Dusek of Antioch, Matt Dusek of Antioch, Andrea Dusek of Gurnee, Brian Swanson of Palatine, Jamie (Justin) Shroat of Salem, WI, and Nicole Swanson of Portland, OR; 7 great grandchildren; and his siblings, Robert Grenell of Grayslake and Peggy (Dan) Pawlak of Lake Villa. He was preceded in death by his parents; his brother, William; his sister-in-law, Sherry Grenell; and his son-in-law, Scott Swanson.

A memorial service will be held at Strang Funeral Chapel, 410 E. Belvidere Road, Grayslake, IL 60030 on Thursday, May 11, 2023 at 7:00pm. A visitation will be held on Thursday at the funeral chapel from 4:00pm until the time of service.
