Obituary's Biography:
Peggy Ann Kavanagh, age 65, a resident of Grayslake, passed away Friday, October 12, 2018. Peggy was born on September 24, 1953 in Chicago, IL to Dorothy McCarthy (nee Bachus) and Burt McCarthy. Peggy is survived by her father; her children, Kim (Troy) Routledge of Ingleside, Kristen Kavanagh of Kenosha, WI, Kelly Kavanagh of Hainesville, and Tanner Kavanagh (four legged son); grandchildren, Kylie Routledge, Madison Routledge and 5 grandpups. She was preceded in death by her mother. A memorial visitation is scheduled for Wednesday, October 17, 2018 from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at Strang Funeral Chapel & Crematorium, 410 E. Belvidere Road, Grayslake, IL 60030. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to the Multiple Myeloma Research Foundation (themmrf.org) or JourneyCare Hospice (journeycare.org). My condolences to your entire family. Peggy will be missed by a multitude of people no doubt. She was the person everyone could count on to make you laugh. Her smile was infectious. Friends for at least 54 years.
She has taught us many things. Love of family and friends, grace, kindness, and strength in the face of adversity. Never wanting to complain herself but worried for everyone around her. She taught us to have fun, to not take ourselves so seriously. My friend was a gift from God and now he holds her in his heavenly presence.
I will miss my friend dearly. Till we meet again Peggy.
