  1. I’m very sad to see my sweet Aunt Martha go. She was my mother’s baby sister, and I kind of thought she’d always be with us. We were kindred spirits in our love for animals, I loved her stories of how she happened to get her latest crew of pets. She stayed with me when I had a sick family member, and it was so kind. We stayed in close touch over the years right up to the end. I think she protected me from knowing how ill she was, because she didn’t want to ruin a trip I was taking in the beginning of March. Her thoughtfulness stayed true! I’m so grateful we were able to speak when I returned. She’s forever in my heart.

  2. I am Martha’s oldest daughter. Those of you who knew her like I did will know how fiercely independent and private she was. Her breathing had begun to decline several years ago but she only stopped being herself the last few weeks of her life! It was an honor for her daughters, step daughters and husband to care for and about her until her last breath. We will miss her terribly but take comfort in knowing she is at peace.

  3. I am Martha’s youngest daughter. Thank you for being my Mom. Thank you for passing your love and respect of all creatures great and small to me. I was so Blessed to come and be with you, to hug you and tell you how much I truly love and appreciate you and all that made you you. Till we see each other again…watch over us and guide us. ♥️💔🐾
