Obituary's Biography:

Marilyn (Desrosiers) Nadeau age 79 peacefully passed away on Tuesday, October 12th at Warren Barr in Lincolnshire, Illinois. She was born on July 6th, 1942 in Holyoke, Massachusetts. Daughter of the late Joseph and Thelma Desrosiers.

Loving wife of Raymond Nadeau of Holyoke, Massachusetts, sister to Ralph and Christine Desrosiers, Merrill and Judy (late) Desrosiers, Donnie Desrosiers, and Leo (late) Desrosiers. Mother to Jean (Nadeau) Edwards and husband Scott of Orlando, Florida, Joseph and wife Renee Nadeau of Round Lake Beach, Illinois, Son Jeffrey Nadeau of Connecticut. Grammy to seven grandchildren, Robbie, Tommy, Hope, Nicole, Zachary, Hailey, and Rebecca.

Blessed with a giving heart, she was a lifelong member of St. Paul Episcopal parish.  Over the years she was an active member of the Women Support group, led vacation bible school, worked in the church office, and was a leader of the Young Peoples Fellowship. She enjoyed volunteering her time with Veteran’s Lunches, Kate’s Kitchen, and other local outreach charities.

She found her passion later in life while working as a paraprofessional for children with special needs in the Holyoke Public Schools. 

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, November 27th at 10:30 am at St. Paul’s Episcopal Church, Holyoke Massachusetts.   2. Joe, Jean, and Jeff, I am so very sorry for your loss. Your mom was a loyal, compassionate, dedicated woman and I was happy to call her my friend. I know that she valued all of you and was proud of you all. Moms never leave us, we carry them in our hearts forever. Thinking of you all.

  3. Ray, Jean, Joe and Jeff my heart us breaking for all you. I have known Marilyn my entire life. My earliest memories of Marilyn are with sister Diane at St.Paul’s Church. ❤
    We have shed many tears and have shared many laughs over the years.
    Marilyn was always a true and loyal friend. She will be missed but definitely not forgotten.

    Marilyn, as you know was my very close friend for many years. Our families grew up together and we got through many happy and sad times. She encouraged me to sew more and improve my skills. She was very talented in many areas. I miss her every day and will keep you and the family in my prayers.
