Obituary's Biography:

Judith L. (Harrell) Plotner was born on April 29, 1948 in Kokomo, Indiana, and passed away peacefully on June 22, 2021 in Gurnee, Illinois.  Judi was born to Ray and Mary Lou Harrell.  She was a Kokomo Wildcat and a front row member of Cheer Block.  She and (the late) John met and fell in love here and later married.  After Indiana University they moved to Illinois and raised their children in Glenview.  Judi loved her children and grandchildren fiercely and was a devoted friend to many.  Judith is survived by her daughter, Jennifer (Edward Schwall) Maiden; son, Benjamin (Maria) Plotner; grandchildren, Carter, Ashlyn, Billy, Megan, Nicole (Brennan) and Luke; and sisters, Sue (Tom) Buck and Anita (Kevin) Cline.  Her husband of 50 years, John, preceded her in death in 2018.  A celebration of life will be held on Tuesday, July 27, 2021 at 3:00 p.m. at Glenview Methodist Church, 727 Harlem Ave, Glenview, IL 60025. A visitation will be held from 1:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m. on Tuesday at church.  In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Kidney Foundation ( www.kidney.org ) in memory of John and for the support of Ben.   1. Judy and John were both very dear friends during the time they were active members of the United Protestant Church in Grayslake. Both were such giving, caring and thoughtful people who friendship I will treasure always.

  2. Judy and her sisters were neighborhood friends with me and my sister and we continued our friendship through high school. She will be missed and my thoughts and prayers are with you and your family.

  3. We were friends in high school and were able to share some great times at our class reunions.
