Obituary's Biography:

Jo Ann (Joie) (nee Robinson) Bledsoe, age 91, a resident of Grayslake, passed away Tuesday, May 7, 2024, at Brookdale Hawthorn Parkway Senior Living Facility in Vernon Hills. She was born April 26, 1933 in Chicago to Eldridge and Katherine (nee Rafferty) Robinson. She worked at the Waukegan office of Chicago Title and Trust during the 1970’s. Jo Ann was an avid Cubs fan who never missed a televised game. She was preceded in death by her husband of 69 years, James, whom she married on September 16, 1950 in Ingleside;

 her parents, her brother Eldridge (Corky) Robinson Jr., her sister Betty Semar and her brother John Robinson.  She is survived by her brother James Robinson of Florida and her children, Kate Rafferty (Ron Mills) of Arizona, Timothy (Heather) of Wisconsin, Steven (Leslie) of Texas and Lynn (Don) Rathunde of Tennessee; grandchildren, Jacob (Karen) Grandchamp of California, Lauren (Jacob) Dahlquist of Lake Villa, Andrea (Vince) Bellante of Wisconsin, Daniel Bledsoe of Texas, Allison (Matt) Post of Texas, Julie (Jeff) Briggs of Texas, Rebecca (Becky) Rand of McHenry, Jon (Amanda) Rathunde of Tennessee, Zackary Rathunde (fiancé Cheyenne) of Colorado, Holly (Greg) Jones of Tennessee and Owen Rathunde of Tennessee; 17 great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. She is also survived by her many lifelong friends, her many great friends on Pinto Lane in Grayslake and her new friends at Brookdale Hawthorn Parkway.

  1. My sincere condolences to Joie Family my mom Lucy lived across the hall at Brookdale. I was very thankful when Joie helped my mom out after having a stroke that’s what good friends are. Will miss seeing her she was a sweet lady.
