Obituary's Biography:

James A. Beake, a 65-year-old Ingleside resident, passed away peacefully in his sleep at home, on Sat. Oct. 5, 2013.  He was born in Chicago on Mar. 12, 1948 to the now late Richard and Lorraine {nee Dost} Beake.  James was a Vietnam War veteran, having served proudly for the U.S. Army Special Forces in Airbourne Long Range Patrol (LRP), 51st Infantry F. Company.  He was an Airbourne Ranger 75th PCo.  More recently, he worked for the Illinois Tollway for 25 years.  James is survived by Marcia Beake, his wife of 37 years; his children Shaw (Bryan) Pickens, Darcie (Bill) Addis, and Rich Beake; his grandchildren Lauren, Zakk, Sydney, Ben, and Chase; and his brothers Curtis (Ed) Beake and Clinton (Dan) Beake.  Friends of the family may join them for a memorial visitation at STRANG FUNERAL CHAPEL, 410 E. Belvidere Road, Grayslake, IL 60030 on Fri.   1. He loved his friends and family with his whole heart.
    Thanks to everyone that filled his life with joy and good times…he was an amazing man but most of all I was blessed to call him my Dad.
