George K. Schroeder
Obituary's Biography:
George K. Schroeder, 92, a resident of Grayslake, IL, passed away November 29, 2022, at his home. He was born November 25, 1930 in Brooklyn, NY to George and Mildred Schroeder.
George graduated and attended High School in New York. He worked in Brooklyn, NY making smoking pipes and later worked as a custodian for 10 years in the Round Lake School District. He moved to Illinois in the mid 1980’s where he resided with his brother and sister-in-law.
George is survived by his sister-in-law Maureen Schroeder and many nieces, nephews, great-nephews, and great-nieces. He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother Robert Schroeder.
A memorial visitation and service are scheduled for Saturday, December 3, 2022 from 11:00am until 12:00pm with the service commencing at 12:00pm at Strang Funeral Chapel, 410 E. Belvidere Road, Grayslake, IL 60030. Interment will be held privately. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to the Wounded Warriors Project woundedwarriorproject.org. My sweet Uncle George, my Godfather, I will cherish all of our memories and will love and miss you forever. Thank you for being such a blessing to our family. To my cousins and Aunt, thanks for taking such good care of him!
Carl had skills in many fields. He was a great neighbor and friend to all. I’ll miss him cruising in the green jeep with his “Retyred” plates. Jeff and Julie inherited a lot of good things from both parents.
