Obituary's Biography:

Gail Helene Ortberg, age 60, a resident of Wildwood, passed away Friday, October 12, 2018 at home. She was born on May 20, 1958 in Evanston to Bernard and Betty Ekstrom. Gail attended Wildwood Presbyterian Church. She is survived by her husband, Kyle, whom she married on June 25, 1983 in Northbrook; her sons, Nicholas (Kelly McElroy) Ortberg of Island Lake and Erik (Rachael Stich) Ortberg of Kenosha, WI; her grandchildren, Aubrey Ortberg of Island Lake, Adelyn Ortberg of Island Lake, Penelope Ortberg of Kenosha, WI and Owen Ortberg of Kenosha, WI; her sister, Linda Moss of New York, NY. She was preceded in death by her parents and her brother, Richard Ekstrom.
A visitation and memorial service are scheduled for Saturday, October 20, 2018 from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. with the memorial service at 11:00 a.m. at Strang Funeral Chapel & Crematorium, 410 East Belvidere Road, Grayslake, IL 60030. Interment will be held privately.  In lieu of flowers, please make donations to St. Judes Children Hospital 262 Danny Thomas Place Memphis, TN 38105.   1. Kyle and family, we are deeply saddened by the news of Gail’s passing. You all are in our thoughts and prayers. When we lose a loved one here on earth, we gain an angel in heaven that watches over us. May you take comfort in knowing that you have an angel to watch over you all now.   2. We are deeply saddened by the loss of a wonderful, fabulous woman, wife, mother, sister, grandmother, friend. Gail, you will be missed by all who knew you. We are grateful to be among those who have known you and your family through the years.
