Obituary's Biography:

Cathy A. Dycus, 64, a resident of Third Lake , passed away September 26, 2021.  Cathy was born March 19, 1957 in Chicago, IL to Ellsworth and Virginia Peters.  She was a proud employee of Baxter Healthcare for 45 years .  Cathy enjoyed genealogy, bird photography, and traveling especially to  Panama. Cathy is survived by her husband Michael Dycus whom she wed on April 26,2005 in Las Vegas NV., her mother Virginia Peters, her son Harold (Lisa) Gross, daughter Christine Scott (Jeff Sellers), her sister Sue (Gary) Huck, her grand children Kaitlyn Scott, Baeleigh Gross, Emily Gross, and Lucas Sellers. She is preceded in death by her father Ellsworth Peters and her first husband Harold Gross.  Memorial Visitation is scheduled for Thursday, September 30, 2021 from 4:00pm until 8:00pm at Strang Funeral Chapel & Crematorium, 410 East Belvidere Road, Grayslake, IL 60030. Cathy was an integral part of our team and I will miss her immense business knowledge, funny stories, witty comments, and her love of her family and life. I pray that you find strength and comfort during this very difficult time. Continued prayers for your families.

    Was a loving, caring, outgoing, very knowledgeable and a amazing friends. I loved watching her with Ashe and Katy then how so cared so much about my daughter when she was over at her home. She will be missed in many hearts.

    My prays go out to Mike and Christine, plus the rest of the family and friends. I hope you can find healing with your loss.!

Words cannot express our heartfelt condolences to Christine and her lovely family.She absolutely adored her mom and I know she will have a hard road ahead without her.May God plesse help my friend find peace and comfort in our memories and know now she has another spre I am angel up there with her dad looking over her and her family.

  5. Cathy was a special lady. I enjoyed working with her at The Baxter Screening Lab. John would take Harry Sr. camping and fishing in Arkansas. She loved birds and we enjoyed having one of her Cockatoo’s, Ollie. Prayers for her and her family.
