Obituary's Biography:

Gayle Catherine Paydon, age 64 of Round Lake, IL passed away suddenly on March 1st 2018. She was born March 27th, 1953 in Elmhurst, IL.
An active member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Round Lake, IL and formerly at Bethlehem Lutheran in St. Charles, IL, Cathy was involved in Stephen Ministry, teaching Sunday School and women’s groups. She was a Girl Scout leader, soccer commissioner/coach for Tri-City Soccer, quilter/sewer, and loved to cook a meal for anyone, or plan an event with all the details. Traveling and anything Disney always brought a smile to Cathy’s face along with spending time with her family.  Cathy is survived by her beloved daughter Stacey (Thomas) Van Zeyl of Third Lake, IL, grandson Dylan, and nephews Joseph G (Tammy) Chambers Jr. and Jason (Marie) Chambers both of Glendale Heights, IL. Cathy was preceded in death by her parents, Gale and Marie (Gillgasch) Chambers, her loving husband of 45 years Torrance Brett Paydon, and brother Joseph G (Janette) Chambers Sr.  Burial will be at Avon Cemetery, Grayslake, IL with a private family service on Sunday March 4th at 3pm. A celebration of life service will be held on Saturday March 17th at 2pm with visitation beginning at 1pm, Trinity Lutheran Church 25519 Illinois Rte 134 of Round Lake, IL. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to either Trinity Lutheran Church or The National Kidney Foundation https://team.kidney.org/campaign/In-Memory-of-Cathy-Paydon.  All arrangements were entrusted to Strang Funeral Chapel & Crematorium 410 E.   4. i am so sorry that I cannot make it down for the services. I will miss you Cathy, and I find myself often thinking of times past and some of the family get togethers when we were young. I can imagine that you and Brett, Aunt Diane and Joe, are catching up on a few missed card games! Rest well. My prayers are with Stacey, Thomas and Dylan as you go through this sad time.
