Betty J. Huber

Betty Jane Huber, 86, was called home while she slept on the evening of July 5th a blessing for her and a time of grief for us. She was born March 12th 1929 in Dola, Ohio, the middle child of a family of 8 children. Betty was married on December 25th 1947 to Richard Huber in Arlington, Ohio and they were blessed with 5 children, 10 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren, and 1 great-great-grandchild. They moved to Illinois in 1950 where they remained till 1989 when they retired to Friendship, Wisconsin. When Richard was called home in 2009 she moved back to Grayslake, Illinois. Betty is survived by her children Susan (Robert) Somers of Chicago, Mary Gatschet of Fort Worth, TX, Richard R. Huber Jr. of Round Lake Beach, and Stephen Huber of Grayslake, her siblings Catherine (Ray) Hartenstein of Cleveland, OH, Earl Hartman of Mesa, AZ, and Paul (Sharon) Hartman of Finlay, OH, and her aforementioned grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents Peter and Alice (nee: Wood) Hartman, her husband Richard Huber, her son William P. Huber, her siblings Lillian Moses, Robert D. Hartman, Harley (Mary) Hartman, and Ralph (Marge) Hartman, her sister-in-law Ruth (Earl) Hartman, and her daughter-in-law Jo Huber. A visitation is scheduled for Thursday July 9, 2015 from 4PM until 7PM at Strang Funeral Chapel & Crematorium, 410 E Belvidere Road, Grayslake, IL 60030. The funeral service will be held on Friday July 10, 2015 at 10am at St. Paul Lutheran Church 420 N. Greenwood Ave. Round Lake, IL. Interment will follow at Highland Memorial Park in Libertyville. Edward R. Suris

Edward R. Suris, 57, a lifelong resident of Grayslake, passed away suddenly on July 3, 2015, at his home. He was born February 15, 1958 in Waukegan, IL to Rodolfo and Eladia Suris. Edward had a passion for music, playing with his brother in their band, Eclipse. He was a veteran having served with the US Navy and owned and operated his own contracting business. Edward loved to travel and visited many locations throughout the United States. Edward is survived by his mother Eladia, his siblings George (Shelley) Suris, Lourdes (Terrence) Suris-Longtin, and Doris (Dr. Rey) Martinez, his nieces and nephews Joshua, Justin, Jason (Sara), Michele, and Rudy Suris, and Ryan and Austin Martinez, his great-nieces Brihanna Suris, Ellen Cassel, and Olivia Suris, and numerous cousins. A visitation is scheduled for Tuesday July 7, 2015 from 5:00PM until 8:00PM with a funeral service commencing at 8:00pm at Strang Funeral Chapel & Crematorium, 410 E Belvidere Road, Grayslake, IL 60030. Shawn R. Tokarz

Shawn R. Tokarz, 47, of Lake Villa  passed away Thursday, July 2, 2015. Shawn loved to fish, garden and especially loved helping others through his garage. He also loved riding motorcycles. He was born on February 13, 1968 in Chicago to Richard and Karen (Wood) Tokarz. Shawn is survived by Anne, the love of his life for 25 years. He is also survived by his mother Karen and his children, Christine Salgado, Burlington, WI, Jeffery (Valerie) Salgado, Antioch, IL and Michael Salgado, Lake Villa. Shawn is also survived by his grandchildren Tristan, Lily, and Grace who knew him as their loving Papa. He is survived by his siblings Shannon (Caleen) Tokarz, Richard Tokarz, all of Gages Lake, IL, Kathleen (Mike) Lewey, Round Lake, IL, Todd Tokarz of Gurnee, Il,  and many nieces and nephews. He was preceeded in death by his Father Richard. A visitation is scheduled for Tuesday July 7, 2015 from 4PM until 8PM at Strang Funeral Chapel & Crematorium, 410 E Belvidere Road, Grayslake, IL 60030. Visitation will also commence at 10AM until 11AM at St Paul the Apostle Church, 6401 Gages Lake Road, Gurnee, IL 60031 with Mass following at 11AM on Wednesday, July 8, 2015. Interment will follow at Highland Memorial Park in Libertyville following the Mass. Robert W. Corbett

Robert W. Corbett, 21, a resident of Round Lake Beach, passed away June 30, 2015. He was born July 20, 1993 in Macomb, IL to Robert and Mary Ellen Corbett. Robert was a Junior at Western Illinois University in Macomb, where he was a member of the National Honors Society. He was a lifeguard at the YMCA in Lindenhurst, and loved sports and music. Robert is survived by his parents Robert and Mary Ellen, his siblings Becca, Megan, and Sarah, his nephew Ronan, his grandparents William and Joan Corbett, his aunt and uncle Ann and Kevin Conway, and many other aunts, uncles, and cousins. A visitation is scheduled for Saturday, July 4, 2015 from 10:00am until 11:00am with service commencing at 11:00am at Impact/Calvary Christian Church 134 Monaville Rd. Lake Villa, IL 60046. Interment will be held on Monday, July 6, 2015 at 1:00pm at Fairview Memorial 900 N. Wolf Rd. Northlake, IL. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Lindenhurst YMCA.
