Obituary's Biography:
Robert “Bob” Joseph Higgins, 59, a resident of Lake Villa, IL, passed away June 10, 2025, at Northwestern Lake Forest Hospital in Lake Forest, IL. He was born December 21, 1965, in Oak Park, IL to Marianne and Robert Higgins.
Bob was a graduate of Grayslake High School in 1984 and was employed with Campanella and Sons for the last 25 years. He was a member of AA. He enjoyed fishing, was an avid Bears fan, and loved his dog Xena.
Bob is survived by his wife of 31 years, Kimberly Higgins, his mother Marianne Higgins, his sons Zackery (Melissa Olsen) Higgins and Payton Higgins, his sisters Christine Konopacki and Marianne (Steve) McDermott, and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his dad Robert Higgins and his brother Michael Higgins.
A memorial visitation and mass are scheduled for June 28, 2025 at St. Gilbert Catholic Church 301 E. Belvidere Rd. Grayslake, IL 60030 from 10:00am until 11:00am with the mass commencing at 11:00am. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the St. Jude Children’s Hospital. All funeral arrangements were entrusted to Strang Funeral Chapel & Crematorium 410 E. Belvidere Rd. Bob (and Kim) have been longtime friends and he will be missed. May he continue to be with you always and may you find peace.
Bob my brother in law who I will miss beyond words I will always remember our last conversation on the phone you called me from the hospital and said Kathy I’m going to fight like hell and that you did my brother we had a great vacation with you all in florida for Thanksgiving and we had great conversations together we laughed and shared memories i will miss you and I love you see you on the other side Bob ❤️
