Diana T. Kula
Obituary's Biography:
Diana Theresa Kula, 89, a resident of Round Lake, IL, passed away August 13, 2025 at her home. She was born February 7, 1936, in Waukegan, IL to Anthony and Giovanna (nee: Bianco) Conti.
Diana was an avid gardener who took great pride in her flowers and gardening. One of her favorite places to visit was the Chicago Botanic Gardens. She was an animal lover who always had dogs, cats, and even a lamb. Diana always wanted to be outdoors. She walked around Highland Lake with her friends every day, and was very involved with the Highland Lake Association.
The thing she really lived for was her family. Nothing was more important to her than her husband and children. She adored her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
A sweeter, kinder, genuinely nicer woman never lived.
Diana is survived by her husband of 65 years, Robert Kula, whom she wed on June 4, 1960 in Round Lake, IL, her children Karen (Tom) Sircher of Ingleside, Bob (Laura) Kula of Grayslake, Gerry Kula of Round Lake, and Joanne Kula of Round Lake, her grandchildren Tom (Kristen) Sircher of Wisconsin, Kristen (Shawn) Blough of Ingleside, Bobby (Rosario) Kula of Grayslake, Tony Kula of Chicago, Jessica Kula of Chicago, and Paul Kula of Chicago, and her great-grandchildren Evan, Ben, Thomas, Parker, and Blakely. She was preceded in death by her parents, her grandson Nicholas Kula and her brother Joseph Conti.
A visitation is scheduled for Sunday, August 17, 2025 at Strang Funeral Chapel & Crematorium 410 E. Belvidere Rd. Grayslake, IL 60030 from 3:00pm until 7:00pm. The funeral service and interment will be held privately.

Diane was a loving, caring woman. She loved her family, friends, and community. I will miss seeing her walk by with a smile and a wave. Her footprint will be ever-present.
