Obituary's Biography:

Roger Villiard, 80, a resident of Lake Villa, IL passed away Saturday, October 10, 2015 at his home. He was born October 7, 1935 in Exeland, WI. Roger was the business owner of Villiard’s Fruit Market, for 45 years, located at the coroner of Rte. 83 and Rte. 120 in Grayslake. Roger is survived by his wife of 60 years, Ellen, whom he wed on October 18, 1954, his children Marvin, Esther (John) Zeiger, Kathy (Bob) Dolan, Greg, and Dale (Lisa), his grandchildren, Erin (Nick) Behm, Meaghan, Jack, Nathan, Matt, Scott, and Nick, his great-grandson Josh, his sister Doris Ostic, and many loving nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his brothers Jerome, Eugene, Lynn,  Duane, and James, and his sisters Lucille, Alma, Lila, Mary, and Margie. Friends of the family may visit on Thursday, October 15, 2015 from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Strang Funeral Chapel & Crematorium, 410 East Belvidere Road, Grayslake, IL 60030. The memorial service will be held Friday, October 16, 2015 at 10:30 a.m. at St. Matthews (the historic chapel) 24500 Old McHenry Rd. Hawthorn Woods, IL. Interment will be held privately. Memorials and donations may be made to the American Diabetes Foundation, St. Matthews Church, or the charity of your choice.   4. To the entire Villiard Family, especially Kathy ~ I am so sorry for your loss. Mr. Villiard always was so full of life and I truly enjoyed selling those Xmas trees back in high school with Kathy:) and hanging out at your home all those years ago during grade school and high school.     We are sorry for the loss of Roger. We learned this when we came last week for our tree. It’s been our tradition with our boys for 25+ years. We will miss the visiting and the stories we all shares. Our prayers are with you.
