Matthew M. Burchard, 23, of Lake Villa, Il, passed away March 23, 2016, he leaves his parents Thomas and Julie and his sister Elizabeth. A public visitation will be held on Monday, March 28, 2016 from 4-8 P.M. at the Strang Funeral Chapel and Crematorium 410 E. Belvidere Rd, Grayslake, Il 60030. Funeral services will be held at 11:30am on March 29 th at the funeral chapel. Interment will follow at the Avon Centre Cemetery in Grayslake, IL

Matthew was a beautiful young man. In the few weeks I had known him it was apparent he was battling demons most people cannot fathom. I was blessed to have been able to offer him a new way of life. God had other plans for him. God bless his family. Please take comfort in the fact he is no longer suffering.
Matt was a sweet, kind and polite young man. He came to our door one day asking if he could take one of our sunflowers for a friend who was sick. When we said “of course” his face lit up and his words of thanks were full and true. There are no words that can take away your pain, but know that Matt’s in our prayers and we wish all of you peace and love.
To Matthew’s Family . I am so sorry for your loss. Matthew was such a kind young man with an incredible caring soul. sincere condolences Jane Lambesis
