Obituary's Biography:

Carol E. Gustafson, age 83, of Wildwood IL, passed away Monday, May 11, 2015. She was born in Waukegan, on April 15, 1932 and grew up in Zion. Carol was an active member of the Wildwood Presbyterian Church for over 50 years and a member of the Glass Dictionary Club, College of Lake County. She was an Avon sales representative for 25 years and enjoyed decorating, gardening, and floral arranging. Carol is survived by her daughter, Cheryl Hines (fiancé Mike Tierney), granddaughter Stephanie Manis (fiancé John Larsen), great-grandchildren, Kayden, Gino, and Brentley; son, Eric (Meredith) Gustafson, grandchildren Daniel and Allison; daughter, Sharon (Chris) Krempely, and granddaughters, Amanda (Jeremy) Pace, Ashlie (Eric) Brish and great-grandchildren, Genevieve and Giuliana. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ragner, whom she married on July 28, 1962. Friends of the family may visit on Thursday, May 14, 2015 from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Strang Funeral Chapel & Crematorium, 410 East Belvidere Road, Grayslake, Il 60030. Visitation will continue at Wildwood Presbyterian Church, 18630 West Old Gages Lake Road, Grayslake, from 9:30 a.m. until the time of the funeral service at 10:30 a.m. on Friday, May 15, 2015. Interment will follow at Highland Memorial Park, 3300 Hunt Club Road in Libertyville. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Alzheimer’s organization. Donate online at www.alz.org.
