William L. Schmidt

William L. Schmidt, age 60, a resident of Loves Park, IL, passed away at St. Anthony's Hospital in Rockford on Monday, October 19, 2015 after a long battle with pancreatic cancer. Bill was born on October 6, 1955. He attended both Woodland and Warren schools and lived most of his life in Wildwood. Bill was an accomplished weight lifter as well as a black-belt in Tae Kwon Do. He worked in the manufacturing industry in early years and later became a Mail Carrier with the United States Postal Service. Bill was a happy person and well loved by friends and family. He is survived by his sister Paula (Greg) Clauser and brother Paul Schmidt, and many nieces, nephews and cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents, William N. and June (Otis) Schmidt. A visitation is scheduled for Saturday, October 24, 2015 from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. with the funeral service starting at 7:00 p.m. at Strang Funeral Chapel & Crematorium, 410 East Belvidere Road, Grayslake, IL 60030.
