William T. Giova

William T. Giova, 92, a resident of Grayslake, IL, passed away Wednesday, December 5, 2018 in Libertyville, IL.  He was born October 26, 1926 in Italy to Tony and Nina Giovacchini.  William was a World War II veteran having served with the US Navy from 1944 to 1946 aboard the USS Walter X. Young.  He was a member of St. Mary of Annunciation Church.  William is survived by his wife of 36 years, Mary Anne, his children William A. (Karen) Giova, Gene Anne (John) Speckman, and Kimberly Lobitz, his grandchildren Matthew, Lauren, Carolyn, Robert, Jarrett, and Jackson, his 3 great-grandchildren, and his sister Lee (Enzo) Berti.  He was preceded in death by his son Marc, his brother Al, and his parents.  A visitation is scheduled for Sunday, December 9, 2018 from 2:00pm until 6:00pm at Strang Funeral Chapel & Crematorium 410 E. Belvidere Rd. Grayslake, IL 60030.  A memorial mass is scheduled for Monday, December 10, 2018 at 10:00am at St. Mary of Annunciation 22333 W. Erhart Rd.
