Wilfredo A. Reyes

Wilfredo Ang Reyes, 73, a resident of Round Lake, passed away on July 11, 2018 at Advocate Condell Medical Center in Libertyville. He was born on March 24, 1945, in the Philippines to Ricardo and Magdalena Reyes. A proud Veteran, Reyes joined the US Navy in the Philippines in 1967, served in Vietnam and retired in 1989 after 22 years of service. After Military retirement, he spent 16 years at Commonwealth Edison/Midwest Generation.  He is survived by his wife Frida, son Richard, daughter Rebecca (Jason) Falkinham, son Rick, granddaughter Madison Falkinham, sister Remedios (Artemio) Mendoza, brother Apolonio (Wendy), numerous nephews, nieces and their families. He loved to fish, drive in the countryside and was an avid military aficionado. He was a true patriot and extremely proud of his military service. Visitation will be Friday, July 20 from 8:30 a.m. – 10:30 a.m. at Strang Funeral Chapel & Creamtorium, 410 E. Belvidere Rd. Grayslake, IL 60030, with the Funeral/Mass at 11:00 a.m. at St. Peter Catholic Church 27551 Volo Village Rd, Volo, IL 60073. Interment will follow at Mt. Olivet Memorial Park, 1436 Kenosha Road.
