Walter C. Figge

Walter Christian Figge, age 92, passed away on December 12, 2020 in Lindenhurst, Illinois. He was born on March 11, 1928 in Chicago, Illinois to Alma Reichert and Christian Figge.  Walt grew up in Chicago, Illinois, attended Taft High School and received an Associates degree. Walt met the love of his life, Patricia Figge, and they were married while he was stationed overseas in Europe with the Army for two years. They would have been married 70 years this December 23, 2020. Walter worked for the Illinois Bell Telephone Company for nearly 40 years. He is survived by his wife, Patricia Marlyn Figge (nee Whiting) of 69 years, 11 months whom he married on December 23, 1950 in Jefferson Park, Illinois; his children, Terese Lynn Bell (Warren Bell), Grayslake, IL and Cynthia Lou Figge (Steven Zuhl), Issaquah, WA; grandchildren, Warren Walt Bell, Marissa Lynn Bell, Jessica Louise Figge Zuhl, Ross William Figge Zuhl. Walter is preceded in death by his parents, Alma Figge Hoppe and Christian Figge, step-father Oscar Hoppe, and Brother Erwin Figge.
