Virginia M. Peters

Virginia M. Peters, 92, a resident of Round Lake, IL, passed away October 6, 2024 at her home.  She was born December 4, 1931 in Chicago, IL to John and Catherine Lange.

There was no job too big or too small for Virginia, as she took on the task of raising her siblings from a young age. She was strong, determined, and fiercely independent. She loved arts and crafts but nothing compared to the love she had for her grandchildren and great-grandchildren who will miss her dearly.

Viriginia is survived by her daughter Susan (Gary) Huck, her grandchildren James (Anne) Huck, Joseph (Rosalinda) Huck, Harold (Lisa) Gross, and Christine Gross, and her great-grandchildren Justin (Rebecca) Huck, Kaitlyn Scott, Baeleigh Gross, Emily Gross, and Lucas Sellers.  She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Ellsworth Peters, her daughter Cathy Gross-Dycus, and her siblings John Lange, Lorraine Nelson, and Dorothy Gibis.

A visitation and funeral service are scheduled for Friday, October 11, 2024 at Strang Funeral Chapel & Crematorium 410 E. Belvidere Rd.
