Thomas Grabowski

Thomas Grabowski, age 85, a resident of Highwood, passed away on January 16, 2023 at his home.  He was born on December 16, 1937 in Chicago to Stanley and Wanda Grabowski.  Thomas grew up on the Northwest side of Chicago.  He enjoyed listening to the radio and reading the newspaper.  He was described as a kind man with a huge smile.

Thomas is survived by his daughters, Kim (Alex) Proenza of Mundelein and Renee (Brian) Hribar of Spring Grove; his grandchildren, Nicholas Proenza, Austin Hribar, and Colin Hribar; his siblings, Stan Grabowski, Jim (Kathy) Grabowski, and Linda (Tom) Petermann; and sister-in-law, Maureen Grabowski.  He was preceded in death by his wife, Patricia; and brother, Don Grabowski.

A visitation will be held on Thursday, January 19, 2023 from 4:00pm until 8:00pm at Strang Funeral Chapel, 410 E. Belvidere Road, Grayslake, IL 60030. A Funeral Mass will be held on Friday, January 20, 2023 at 11:00am at St. Gilbert Catholic Church, 301 E. Belvidere Road, Grayslake, IL 60030.  Interment will be held at Ascension Catholic Cemetery in Libertyville.
