Steven W. Johnson

Steven W. Johnson, 47, a resident of Grayslake, passed away Monday, March 25, 2013 at Advocate Condell Medical Center in Libertyville. He was born September 12, 1965 in Waukegan to Gordon and Lorraine Johnson. Steven was an avid fan of the Seattle Seahawks and the Chicago Cubs. He also had a deep love for his Wisconsin Badgers, was a volunteer for Cruising for Kids and did volunteer work for a local restaurant. He is survived by his mother Lorraine and by numerous cousins in Washington State and in Park Ridge. He was preceded in death by his father, Gordon, and his grandmother, Martha Johnson, aka Myna. Friends of the family may visit on Saturday April 13, 2013 from 1:00pm until 2:00pm with a memorial service commencing at 2:00pm at STRANG FUNERAL CHAPEL & CREMATORIUM, 410 East Belvidere Road, Grayslake, IL 60030. The service will be followed by a reception at The Vine in downtown Grayslake starting at 3:30pm. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to BMO Harris, c/o Steven Johnson Memorial Fund, Grayslake Fire Department, or American Heart Association.
