Shirley M. Metz

Shirley M. Metz, 85, a resident of Lake Geneva, WI, passed away Tuesday, February 12, 2019 in Elkhorn, WI.  She was born December 19, 1933 in Chicago, IL to James and Bertha Connolly.  Shirley is survived by her husband, Wilbur, her children Laurie (Kenneth) Aemisegger, Mary Metz, Bill (Trisha) Metz, and Michael (Heidi) Metz, her grandchildren Kimberly Aemisegger, Hannah Metz, Timothy Metz, and Vincent Metz, her niece Michelle (Dave) Yarc, and her nephews Jim (Stephanie) Hansen, Ken (Cathy) Hansen, and Don (Jan) Metz.  She was preceded in death by her parents and her sister Mary Ann (Jim) Hansen.  A visitation and funeral mass is scheduled from 9:00 a.m. until 10:00a.m. with a funeral mass commencing at 10:00a.m. on Saturday, February 16, 2019 at St. Gilbert Catholic Church 301 E. Belvidere Rd. Grayslake, IL 60030. Interment will be held privately. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the St. Gilbert Church or St. Gilbert School in Shirley's name.  All funeral arrangements were entrusted to Strang Funeral Chapel & Crematorium 410 E.
