Shirley Ann Grom, age 67, a resident of Waukegan, passed away Thursday, November 7, 2019 at Vista Hospital in Waukegan.  Retired from employment, Shirley was a member of the Leech Lake band of Ojibwe, a US Indian Reservation.  She is survived by her two sons, Michael and Timothy Grom; one daughter, Christina Grom; two grandsons, Manny and Owen; two granddaughters, Alora and Leiana; sisters, Darlene, Linda, and Donna; brother, Mike; and many loving nieces, nephews and their children.  She was preceded in death by her parents; sisters, Bonnie, Carol and Lillian; and her brother, Chuck.  A visitation and service are scheduled for Sunday, November 17, 2019 from 1:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m., with the funeral service starting at 3:00 p.m. at Strang Funeral Chapel & Crematorium, 410 East Belvidere Road, Grayslake, IL 60030.
