Shawn R. Tokarz

Shawn R. Tokarz, 47, of Lake Villa  passed away Thursday, July 2, 2015. Shawn loved to fish, garden and especially loved helping others through his garage. He also loved riding motorcycles. He was born on February 13, 1968 in Chicago to Richard and Karen (Wood) Tokarz. Shawn is survived by Anne, the love of his life for 25 years. He is also survived by his mother Karen and his children, Christine Salgado, Burlington, WI, Jeffery (Valerie) Salgado, Antioch, IL and Michael Salgado, Lake Villa. Shawn is also survived by his grandchildren Tristan, Lily, and Grace who knew him as their loving Papa. He is survived by his siblings Shannon (Caleen) Tokarz, Richard Tokarz, all of Gages Lake, IL, Kathleen (Mike) Lewey, Round Lake, IL, Todd Tokarz of Gurnee, Il,  and many nieces and nephews. He was preceeded in death by his Father Richard. A visitation is scheduled for Tuesday July 7, 2015 from 4PM until 8PM at Strang Funeral Chapel & Crematorium, 410 E Belvidere Road, Grayslake, IL 60030. Visitation will also commence at 10AM until 11AM at St Paul the Apostle Church, 6401 Gages Lake Road, Gurnee, IL 60031 with Mass following at 11AM on Wednesday, July 8, 2015. Interment will follow at Highland Memorial Park in Libertyville following the Mass.
