Ruth E. Sowa

Ruth E. Sowa, 74, a resident of Round Lake Park, IL, passed away November 30, 2022 at Journeycare Hospice in Barrington, IL.  She was born in Picayune, MS on March 9, 1948 to Eugene and Audrey Hartfied.

Ruth was a veteran having served with the US Air Force and had worked as a bus driver for special needs children.

Ruth is survived by her husband of 53 years, Jim Sowa, her sons Jimmy (Heidi) Sowa and Todd (Nancy Brasher) Sowa, her grandchildren Katerina, Alex, Daniel, and Austin, her 3 great-grandchildren, and her brothers Roy, Charlie, and John.  She was preceded in death by her parents.

A visitation and funeral service are scheduled for December 9, 2022 from 11:00am until 12:00pm with the funeral service commencing at 12:00pm at Strang Funeral Chapel, 410 E.
