Russell Lee Rathunde

Russell Lee Rathunde, age 57, a resident of Lake Villa, passed away Sunday, September 3, 2017 at his home. He was born February 9, 1960 in Elmhurst. He was a member of Shepherd of the Lakes Church. He is survived by his mother, Dawn Rathunde of Grayslake; two children, David and Corine; grandson, Tony Jackson four brothers, Steven (Debbie), Edward (Vicki), Donald (Lynn), Ronald (Susan); two sisters, Dawn (Jerry) Ring, Diane (Paul) Acutt; in-laws, Craig and JoAnn Ellison; two sisters-in-law, Julie (Dan) Skidds, Jennifer (Norris) Dennis Davidson; and 19 nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife, Amy (Ellison) Rathunde, his daughter, Mindy (Rathunde) Jackson; and his father, Sonny Rathunde. A visitation and funeral service is scheduled for Saturday, September 16, 2017 from 12:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. with the funeral service starting at 2:00 p.m. at Strang Funeral Chapel & Crematorium, 410 E.
