Ronald L. Nootbaar

Ronald L. Nootbaar, 78, a resident of Grayslake Carillon North and formerly of Park Forest, passed away Thursday December 11, 2014. He was born August 12, 1936 in Harvey, IL to Edwin and Frieda Nootbaar. Ronald had worked for Roberts Colonial House in South Holland. He was a vigil member of the Order of the Arrow and earned scouting's Silver Beaver award. He pursued many hobbies especially stained glass. Ronald is survived by his wife of 55 years, Doris, his sons David (Sofia) Nootbaar and Mark (Karen) Nootbaar, his granddaughters Lisa, Laura, Lindsay, and Paige Nootbaar, and his siblings Gene (Vi) Nootbaar and Jane Nootbaar. He was preceded in death by his parents. Friends of the family may visit on Monday December 15, 2014 from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. with a funeral service commencing at 4:00pm at Strang Funeral Chapel & Crematorium, 410 E Belvidere Rd. Grayslake IL 60030. Interment will be held privately. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Boy Scouts of America.
