Robert Samborski

Robert Samborski, 88, a resident of Grayslake, IL, passed away peacefully Thursday, August 25, 2022 at The Springs of Vernon Hills.  He was born July 24, 1934 in Chicago, IL to Edward and Jean Samborski.  Robert was a member of St. Gilbert Catholic Church, the Knights of Columbus, and the American Legion.  He began Bel-Aire Electric 60 years ago, and loved his big, holy family. He was a Korean War Army veteran and enjoyed his Honor Flight to Washington, D.C.

Robert is survived by his children, Debbie (David) Chin, Linda (John) Strauss, and Michael (Debra Sue) Samborski; his grandchildren, Brian, Karen, Jennifer, Tina, Sara, Johnny, Nicole, Thomas, Tiffany, and Crystal; and his great-grandchildren, Vincent, Quinten, Effie, Minerva, Noah, Aurora, Amelia, and Enzo. He was preceded in death by his late wife, Patricia, of 65 years.

A visitation and funeral Mass will be held at St. Gilbert Catholic Church, 301 E Belvidere Road, Grayslake, IL 60030 on Tuesday, August 30, 2022 from 10:00am until 11:00am with the funeral Mass commencing at 11:00am.  Interment will be held at Ascension Catholic Cemetery in Libertyville.  In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Alzheimers Association.  All funeral arrangements were entrusted to Strang Funeral Chapel & Crematorium 410 E.
