Robert F. Horvath

Robert F. “Bob” Horvath of Antioch, Illinois, passed away on August 24, 2026, at Advocate Condell Medical Center in Libertyville, Illinois. He was born on December 17, 1936, in South Bend, Indiana, to the late Frank G. and Elma Horvath.

He graduated from St. Joseph's High school in South Bend, Indiana and Northwestern University in Evanston, Illinois, in 1959. He served our country as an Army Reserve after college for 4 years. He then went on to work for the United States Gypsum Company for 31 years, starting as a carpenter and retiring in 1991, as Vice President of Sales.

Bob enjoyed fishing, hunting, and spending time with his beloved family.

Bob leaves behind to cherish his memory, his wife of 53 years, Roberta (nee Case) Horvath; his children, Robert Horvath (Jennifer), Jason Horvath (Lorna), Jeffrey Horvath and Jillian Horvath; his grandchildren, McKenna Horvath, Ryan Horvath, Ellery Horvath, Jayden Horvath, Clara Horvath, and Henrik Horvath; his siblings, Phillip Horvath (Barbara), Charles Horvath (Nancy), Susan Mazurkiewicz (James), and Martin Horvath; and his sister-in-law, Jan Horvath.

Robert was preceded in death by his parents, Frank and Elma Horvath, his youngest son, Ryan Michael Horvath, and his brother, Dennis Horvath.
