Richard M. Blumenberg

Richard “Dick” Blumenberg, 86, a resident of Roundlake and formerly of River Grove , went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, December 3, 2025, at 2:30 PM. He passed peacefully at Brookdale senior home with his loving wife of 62 years, Cecilia, by his side, following a long battle with Alzheimer’s. He was born on May 15, 1939, in Milwaukee, WI to Milton and Irene Blumenberg. Dick is survived by his devoted wife, Cecilia; his daughter, Deborah Patton, and son-in-law, Leslie Patton; his grandson, Daniel Barker; his son, Richard Blumenberg, and daughter-in-law, Kristy Blumenberg; his granddaughter, Rebecca Blumenberg; grandson Josh granddaughter Lauren great grandson Josh and Ryan. his sister, Kathy Mitchell. He was preceded in death by his parents, Milton and Irene Blumenberg. Dick was an incredible man who loved Jesus and his family deeply. He found joy in boating, camping, tinkering, and classic cars. Known for his warmth, humor, and ready smile, he brought light and laughter to everyone around him. He will be profoundly missed by all who knew and loved him. A visitation will be held on Friday, December 5, 2025, from 10:00 AM until 11:00 AM at Strang Funeral Chapel, 410 E. Belvidere Road, Grayslake, IL 60030.
