Raymond L. Norkus

Raymond L. Norkus, 96, a resident of Grayslake, IL, passed away October 10, 2025, at his home.  He was born April 17, 1929, in Chicago, IL to Louis and Elizabeth Norkus.

Raymond was a veteran having served with the US Army during the Korean War.  He had worked for 41 years for Bell & Howell and Akie International before his retirement.  He was a member of St. Gilbert Catholic Church.  Raymond enjoyed golfing, volleyball, fishing, and especially spending time with his family.

Raymond is survived by his children John (Taffi) Norkus and Gail Norkus, his grandchildren Sarah Norkus, Michael Norkus, and Tiffany Burton, and his great-grandchildren Neo and Ragnar.  He was preceded in death by his parents, his son James R. Norkus, and his wife Arline Norkus.

A visitation and funeral mass are scheduled for Wednesday, October 15, 2025, at St. Gilbert Catholic Church 301 E. Belvidere Rd. Grayslake, IL 60030 from 10:00am until 11:00am with the mass commencing at 11:00am.  Interment will follow at All Saints Catholic Cemetery in Des Plaines.  Memorial donations may be made to the Alzheimer's Association.
