Raymond S. Jarecki

Raymond S. Jarecki, 73, a resident of Grayslake, passed away Thursday, July 14, 2016 at his home with his family beside him.  He was born August 25, 1942 in Chicago, IL to Stanley and Helen Jarecki.  Ray was a longtime Brunswick employee and White Sox fan, enjoyed golf, retirement, the company of friends and family, and took extreme pride in his grandchildren.  Ray is survived by his sons Richard (Meagan) Jarecki of Littleton, CO and Jim (Christine) Jarecki of Grand Rapids, MI, grandchildren Matthew, Jessica, Addison, Kelsey, and Carson, special friend Judy Arrington, cousins Ann (Andy) Plonka and Walter (Mary) Jarecki, several nieces and nephews, and his former wife Georgene Jarecki.  He was preceded in death by his parents.  A visitation is scheduled for Sunday, July 17, 2016 from 4:00pm until 8:00pm at Strang Funeral Chapel & Crematorium 410 E. Belvidere Rd. Grayslake, IL 60030.  A funeral mass is scheduled for 10:30am, Monday, July 18, 2016 at St. Paul the Apostle Church 6401 Gages Lake Rd. Gurnee, IL 60031.  Interment will follow at Ascension Catholic Cemetery in Libertyville.  In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to St. Vincent de Paul Society 58 Progress Parkway Maryland Heights, MO 63043 or Journeycare Hospice 2050 Claire ct.
