Pearl I. Nerroth

Pearl Irene Nerroth, age 94, of Lindenhurst, passed away peacefully on Friday, September 13, 2019 at her home.  She was born on December 25, 1924 in Chicago to George and Elsie (nee Krumrei) Scherer.  Pearl was the long time owner of Nerroth's Spot-Lite Food Mart in Gages Lake, Il.  She loved and cared for her community greatly.  Pearl was a proud member of St. Gilbert's Catholic Church and a Lioness of the Gagewood Lions Club.  In her free time she enjoyed volunteering, having luncheons with friends, and traveling around the world with her husband.  Pearl had so much joy becoming a great-grandma.  Her love and dedication to her family was known to all she met.

She is survived by her son, George of Lindenhurst; grandchildren, Daniel (Kathleen) of Libertyville, Michele (Kelly) Ambrosius of Kenosha, WI, and Katie (JB) Hanson of Lake Zurich; and great grandchildren, Cole Moeller and Avery Ambrosius, Alex, Ella, and Olivia Nerroth and Jacey, Colby, and Naomi Hanson; and she was well loved by her caregiver, Ty.  She is preceded in death by her husband, Alexander; daughter, Kathleen; brother, George; daughter-in-law, Carol Jean; and her parents.

A visitation and funeral service is scheduled for Sunday, September 22, 2019 from 3:00pm until 7:00pm with the funeral service commencing at 7:00pm at Strang Funeral Chapel & Crematorium, 410 E.
