It is with great sadness that the Babcox family must now announce the Valentine's Day passing of Patricia A. Babcox, from natural causes. Patty was born into the family of Earl and Cecilia Waters in 1949. She leaves behind her sisters, Marguerite and Earleen Waters of Round Lake Beach, IL. Patty was the greatest mother to her two sons, Michael Patrick Babcox and Nicholas Steven Babcox. She also leaves behind her daughter-in-law, Sarah Elizabeth Babcox and two grandchildren, Lyla Jane Babcox and Evan Robert Babcox of Framingham, MA. Patty lived a full and happy life that revolved around her sons, family and design. She was a highly acclaimed interior decorator and designer of high end draperies, for her many clients from the north shore of Chicago. Patty was most proud of her work for actress/talk show host, Oprah Winfrey. Patty produced top class draperies for Oprah's homes in Chicago and in California. She produced unique designs that also permeated Chicagos's well-known Playboy Mansion, once owned by Playboy CEO, Hugh Hefner.
Above all, Patty was most happy spending time with her sons and her grandchildren, Lyla and Evan. If there is a more considerate person on this planet, we would like to know their whereabouts.
Services will be for family only, followed by her cremation ceremony. In lieu of flowers, a donation in Patricia's name may be made to a local animal shelter of your choice.
