Pamela D. Hegg

Pamela D. Hegg, 72, a resident of Grayslake, IL passed away Saturday, May 8, 2021 at her home.  She was born April 30, 1949 to Frank and Dorise Hegg.  She was a graduate of Augustana College where she enjoyed singing in the choir.  Pamela had worked as a Professor of Computer Science with Oakton Community College for 37 years.  She was a pianist and organist having played for Hope Church of Grayslake and St. Marks Lutheran Church of Lindenhurst.  Pamela enjoyed biking, travelling, her multigenerational cars, supporting the Foundation for Women's Cancer and especially spending time with her kids and grandkids.  Pamela is survived by her children Sean (Kari) Johnson, Rebecca Johnson, and Melody (Joseph) Knowles, her 8 grandchildren, her siblings Marjean Hughey, Hollis Hegg, and Peter Hegg, and her best friend and caregiver Pauline Wagner.  A memorial service will be held Saturday, May 15, 2021 at 11:00am at Shepherd of the Lakes Lutheran Church 285 E. Washington St. Grayslake, IL 60030.  Interment will be held privately.  In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Foundation for Women's Cancer https://www.foundationforwomenscancer.org/support-us/donate/ .  All funeral arrangements were entrusted to Strang Funeral Chapel, 410 E.
