Nicholas D. Altmann

Nicholas "Nick" D. Altmann, 23, a resident of McHenry, passed away Wednesday, October 13, 2015 in Chicago. He was born October 1, 1992 in Waukegan to Daniel Altmann and Traci Gray. Nick was a graduate of McHenry West Campus. He was a member of Alliance Bible Church in McHenry and worked for AFC in Lake of the Hills. He enjoyed church, work, and spending time with his family. Nick is survived by his parents Traci (David Berrard) Gray and Daniel (Yumi) Altmann, his siblings Emily (Deonte) Gray, Riki Altmann, Madison Berrard, and Henry Berrard, his grandparents Kathleen Stegen and Paul Altmann, Patricia Altmann, and Linda and Bruce Guy, his great-grandma Mary Ellen Timmerman, his cousins Kevin, Mike, Halie, Mallory, and Kaylee, his nephew Aiden, his best friend Christopher Hawkinson, and numerous aunts and uncles. He was preceded in death by his grandpa Richard Gray and his aunt Lisa Gray. Friends of the family may visit on Saturday, October 17, 2015 from 3:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. with a funeral service commencing at 7:00pm at Strang Funeral Chapel & Crematorium, 410 East Belvidere Road, Grayslake, IL 60030.
